CHULA VISTA OFFICES CLOSED JULY 4
The City of Chula Vista offices and facilities will be closed on Friday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Closures include all city recreation centers, pools, and libraries.
Public safety will not be affected by the holiday schedule. Chula Vista’s Police department and fire stations will provide regular services. Public Works services including streets and sewers will be available on an emergency-only basis.
In addition, there will not be fireworks along the Chula Vista bayfront this year. Residents are urged to view fireworks at 9 p.m. at other South Bay locations: Kimball Park in National City, Glorietta Bay in Coronado, and the San Diego Big Bay Fireworks along North San Diego Bay.
Trash removal in the city of Chula Vista will only be delayed one day: Friday, July 4.Those who have collection on Monday through Thursday will have regular service, but Friday service will be collected on Saturday, July 5. The Household Hazardous Waste facility will remain open normal hours on Wednesday, July 2 and Saturday, July 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
