As Christmas and New Years approaches and we’re all happily working through our own regular holiday preparations, there’s a fun event going on that’s free and waiting for you to see. It really speaks to the cohesiveness of a community within Chula Vista where every year all the neighbors band together to forge something of a Christmas light extravaganza.
Christmas Circle is a 61-year-old tradition and neighborhood’s Judy Sullivan says the decorating started with military families hanging lights from tree to tree all around the block.
Every year thousands of people head to the Chula Vista Christmas Circle, where dozens of bedazzled homes glow during the holiday season.
Christmas Circle is located at Whitney Street off Mankato between 1st and 2nd Ave (off H Street).
