The grand opening of the Rohr Dog Park will be celebrated Saturday, March 7, at 8 a.m. The 1.4-acre dog park is located near Gate A and is open from 7 a.m. to dusk (closed for maintenance every Monday from 7 to 11 a.m.). It is the largest dog park in the South Bay and also has the City’s first solar benches providing power to charge your mobile devices while your dogs play. The park features a separate area for small and large dogs, a play house, agility equipment, and water spigots in each of the areas for keeping dogs hydrated. Special thanks to City Landscape Architects Beth McDonnel and Patricia Ferman, City Public Works staff for relocating and installing water lines, and to Republic Services for providing waste bags for the dog park.
